Last time a school had two consecutive POYs was duke in the early 2000s and one of those teams won a ship I believ. Would be great if we could do it too.

I think it’s evident Kansas is his first choice and Indiana is second. With a return by Vick and a dog shit season by Indiana I don’t think it’s out of the question he signs with Vandy.

Once this Kansas team was flawed, a red bullseye painted right on its back. This was the year that we would be taken out. We weathered the Preston situation with incredible leadership by Dtae and we’re poised enough to battle until Silvio joined the team. It’s so late in the season they said. He would never play any minutes and would never learn the system in time they said. Now look at us. Big 12 champs. Scores of awards and Silvio proved today he can be a reliable, dare I say somewhat dominant, low post threat. LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I have recently heard rumors that Thon Maker, a 7’ C/PF, might reclassify to the class of 2015. Considering we currently have one roster spot open does anyone think we have a chance to land him? Also if we do, how much better would we be?

If Trae wants to go to Oklahoma It’s because he wants to stay with his friends and family which I totally understand. I just hope he knows he’s never going to beat KU or win a conference ship. His fate will be like Myles Turner and Jarrett Allen. Recruits spurning Kansas just to lose to us.

Guys I need more insider info on Billy STAT. The thought of Billy, Desouza and Cunliffe all joining the team is exciting as hell.

No program has suffered more heart breaking losses in championship games than the Kansas Jayhawks. Just getting there is an accomplishment that many programs in Division 1 have never been able to do. It’s an incredibly difficult task to win a title but I can think of one thing that by many would have seemed impossible. This year we actually have a chance to beat an all time record set by the great John Wooden. Something that other programs will never be able to claim. By winning a 14th conference championship our program will set in stone a record that will quite possibly never be broken. While other programs chase John Wooden in titles, a feat they will never get to, we actually beat him at something else. Would you, fellow Jayhawk fans trade this feat for a title? And if so how many? DEBATE!

I wanted that W today more than any other this year. So glad we got it the way we did, with hard nosed defense.

Vick has every intangible to play in the nba. He athletic, long, can shoot and defend. I’m almost certain that the coaching staff has been telling Zion that Billy is a one and done player they are also telling Grimes and Langford that Vick is nba bound as well.

Word is T-Ferg has not signed his LOI with Bama because he is waiting to see where Bolden lands. If KU lands Bolden it’s said T-Ferg will switch and sign with us.

Thoughts or more info?

He is a 6-6 5-star wing that was considered a very heavy KU lean until Bama came in at the last second. They secured his commitment but he has come out and said he does not want to sign his LOI until the spring, raising speculation that he might leave. He is 10th on espn100.

Porter should sit the rest of the season just to be safe and come back next year to solidify his spot as the #1 pick. Even tho Nova is a fantastic team, def the overall seed, I would love a revenge game against those guys. I truly believe Trae regrets not picking Kansas. Although they were on better respective teams Michael Beasily and to a bigger extent Kevin Durant tried to destroy us at the Fieldhouse. I think he dreaded that game and the atmosphere overwhelmed him. Not only did his chance at CPOY end that night but maybe NPOY as well. But let’s face it he made the same mistake everyone else made. They bet against Kansas and LOST.

@HighEliteMajor of course I want Doke back, but it is a very interesting to see how well we played considering. I think Dokes injury, I’m sure we can all agree, excellerated Silvios dvelopememt. Would we be a better team without his injury? I think the clear answer is no… We improved while he was out and will be better when he comes back. Maybe that’s the theorie in a nutshell. The possessions usually tossed in the post are all the sudden divided amongst the rest of the team and thus the reps improve the player making for a better finished product. Individually improving every player for make the team better overall. I love basketball.

I hope every media outlet picks against KU. Self made a comment in the post game that we had the more TALENTED team. The comment had Devonte laughing. I think coach said that because analysts like Kenny Smith made it a point in their predictions that Duke was the more talented team and I think this team thrives on slights like that. Hell, coach called them soft and members of our fan base counted them out and all they did after that was prove literally everyone wrong.

I don’t recall us being in this situation so late in the game before. It was a foregone conclusion that Vick was gone and we had an excellent change at Langford. Now neither are the case. Despite there being some rumors of character issues Vick was no doubt an intregal part of our FF birth and was a huge part in beating Duke. History shows that the more returnees from a deep tournament run increase your chances greatly returning the next year. Vick coming back would once again put him in the national limelight due to how many games we have nationally broadcasted and would without a doubt be one of our best shooters and has a chance to move into a veteran/leadership roll for our young back court. I think a key concern is whether his return stunts the growth of our new recruits throughout the year? All those things aside I have a feeling that if coach wants him back his ass is gonna be on the roster next season and that solidifies our position as the most dynamic and deep roster in college ball next year. What a time to be alive.

To me it’s just like even if Self was aware of the shoe company’s payments what exactly can he do about it? If it’s the best player he can get he has pressure every year to build a championship caliber team and will recruit that player regardless. I think Bill Self and the program are 100% in the clear but as for Silvio I’m not convinced. Probably for no fault of his own but it’s a dirty game these shoe company’s are playing.

The day Young announced, all of his CB picks switched to Oklahoma hours before he made it public. Someone close to him leaked it and I think that’s happening here. He’s gotta be ours. Hope he can snag Zion .

Now I’m confused. Can’t Vick reclassify and then redshirt and open up a scholarship spot again? We just need him for the WGs and then he can redshirt for the season right?

I think Malik declares, Vick stays and Cunliffe either redshirts or transfers and we do sign Romeo. I think Matt makes a good point that if he was leaning towards Indiana or Vandy he would have committed by now. I also believe he’s waiting to see who leaves KU. I personally would rather have either Vick or Newman stay than Romeo.

So Crimson broke it Josh IS transferring as we speak. I dont think Self would make him do it unless that spot was going to be utilized immediately…

I think for us to have any shot at landing Jackson we first need to sign Bolden and Allen.

@BeddieKU23 I always figured that one of the main reasons Young didn’t commit was because he didn’t want to compete with Garrett for playing time. Texas player of the year right? He might be flying under the radar… for now.
