First off it was a tremendously successful year even though we came up short of the FF. I think what Frank Mason and his team accomplished was phenomenal. What a great one and done in JJ. I would not trade our team and coach for any other. I did start to have some concerns last Wednesday at the shoot around though. Oregon was scheduled before us and came out on time and worked hard on shooting drills for the full 50 minutes. Their sense of urgency was obvious. KU on the other hand came out 10 minutes after their start time and took it really easy. At the end they spent about 5 minutes chucking up shots from half court. Then they retreated back to the locker room with a full 10 minutes of practice time left. I may be way out in left field here but as a team I felt Oregon played with more intensity and sense of purpose. Part of that might be due to the fact we were blowing teams out prior to this game. Regardless of the outcome I can’t wait to see what HCBS has in store next season. Rock Chalk!

@Fightsongwriter I agree part of the stars motive is to generate clicks but it’s been obvious for a long time the misery based paper has a grudge with KU. FYI star we didn’t make mu leave the Big 12 and become a national joke. It’s pretty clear why tearing down KU would make them feel better about their plight.

It’s sad because KU deserves quality coverage. After the Kentucky game I looked at the Lexington paper and there were about 8 different stories on the game, and even though they lost, the paper was nothing but respectful to their team.

As far as the legal issues all we know for sure is CB got busted for paraphernalia. Hopefully these kids, some from very difficult backgrounds, will use this as a wake up call and focus on making good decisions in the future. One thing we know for sure though is our head coach exhibits the highest standards and will get this sorted out and respond accordingly. I know I will continue to wear my KU gear with pride.

I think some of those questionable fouls inside were due to the rule ‘tweaks’ to make the post play less physical. Every year it seems like there’s a new emphasis on officiating that gets thrown to the curb by league play.
It sounds like there’s a few ways to get the games that are on TW Sports. We had success using Betternet spoofer with watch espn app on the computer. There are no ads and the playback was overall good. Next time I’m going to add a cable to the tv to use as a monitor. Desperate times call for…

I downloaded an IPad app called Betternet which apparently moves your IP address to a different part of the country. To test it I tried to get the KU vs texas volleyball game on watch espn and got it. My son tried to get the VB match on his phone watch espn app and it was blacked out. I’m not guaranteeing anything but there’s hope. It sux that the AD hosed us by selling out to TW. This is going to be a special year!
