Is Keon Coleman good enough to get minutes for Self or is that pillow talk?

Think he is a good quality player - - - - But not really that convinced he is going to get alot of minutes for Bill , at THIS point anyways with what we have. See don’t believe his name was eve mentioned in any recruiting by people as a basketball recruit before this. - -I think mainly this is Bill doing Coach Miles a favor as he will be a walk on in Basketball and won’t count against our Sxholi’s for basketball. He Might see some scrap minutes at the end of games - - not saying he might not work himself into a few later on down the road. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Obviously the staff really wants him for football. I fully believe based on what I’ve seen that he is good enough, will it happen or be the way things actually progress is another story.
If he were focused on basketball I have no doubt he would be a 4* player. What I’ve seen of him is athletically impressive, and he averaged 26/10 last year. I think he is in the Garrett/Ochai range.

@jayballer73 They haven’t been really scouting him for basketball because they knew his official offer would be for football.

that I’m sure is very true, however I still don’t think with the roster that we have/will have that he is going to see many minutes at least next year. He is a pretty quality HIGH SCHOOL basketball player , BIG difference between High School and Major College Basketball P-5 level on a National powerhouse, just not seeing many quality minutes in the near future
