Is progress being made ? with the team
-
Ok let me answer my own question on this , I think yes we are maybe just a little but still progress.
I get frustrated though when I think negative , thinking – ok last year we won 3 games , this year we have won 3 games. - -I seriously don’t see us winning either of these last two. So I think HAVE WE made progress?
Then I realize , true we have still only won 3 games just like Beaty but then I think - -we were really close to at least winning 5 this year - -lost to Texas by 2 , Lost to West Virginia by 5 , and if we would of had Pooka chances are we would of beaten Coastal Carolina. - The Question becomes would that of been the case with Beaty , if he were still the Coach? - My Answer is no.
Guess I’m just saying my thoughts out loud as I read them I think OF COURSE we are making progress - -little as it may be. - -Recruiting is quite a bit better - -more talented athletes I do have a question though, Pooka just has been lacking something this year - -hasn’t really been that same back and my question is why? - Pretty much the Same O-Line - - One thing that I’ve noticed seems like he spends way to much time dancing around in the back field - -reversing field , he just needs to hit the hole and go, seems like loses more yardage by trying to reverse field to much - -last year that worked - -this year defense staying home. - What you think? - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

@jayballer73 first off we had Pooka against Coastal we just had one of the worst OCs in collegiate history. Secondly we only returned 9 starters from last years team, top 3 receivers, QB and the entire front 7 defensively were gone. We returned everyone for Beatys 3 win season, he likely wins a game this season if he was still here. Miles also was only able to sign a mere 15 guys in his first signing class. KU is down 14-9 at the half against ISU currently and really has out played them, just needs to score touchdowns. Rarely did Beatys team out play a conference opponent, they gifted us his wins.

We’re in a dog fight at #20 in the country. We’re absolutely making progress.

Didn’t Pooka sit out the 1st game because of off Season problems with his Girlfriend , where he went through a diversion and Les Sit him out the 1st game? - -could be wrong

@jayballer73 Pooka sat out the Indiana State game. He had 22 carries for 99 yards against Coastal. We have large issues in every phase of the game. O-line, D-line, Special teams, which lost the game against Texas. I really feel we would have been much better if Khalil would not have left. A great one two punch with him and Pooka. Sure hope we can have a great game against Baylor. An upset would leave a better taste in our mouth going into next year. GO HAWKS!

That’s right , it was the Indiana State game confused. - Also agree I think our greatest problems are on our line both sides of the ball.
Football recruiting is so crazy , I’ve been reading and as we know we have lost some de-commits I think 3-4 - -but I think every school loses a player or two even the big boys, having said that I am just saying football recruiting is crazy. - -I guess - the weekend of Dec 6th-8th is suppose to be a pretty big weekend for us in football recruiting and it’s still for 2020. - -We was actually over our limit at one point and yet still recruiting for this up coming year.
Probably the biggest one coming that weekend is Clayton, which was pretty dam high on our list - another Pooka just like Pooka 2 although think he is a more highly rated player then Pooka - -and Committed to Colorado, everything had pointed it was down to Georgia and us for him - then he commits to Colorado, so that’s the crazy part is he is coming with some other that weekend. - -So hopefully get him to flip , even after a kid commits - - schools still keep after them until they sign lol , coincidental that weekend just happens to be the SAME weekend KU is playing Colorado in Basketball - -get him into the Phog - -who knows - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

@Big-Clyde52 losing Herbert was huge as was losing Dru Prox, our run defense got worse instantly without him. The games are won in the trenches and we just don’t have more than a guy or 2 on either side of the ball that is a Major D1 lineman. Stanley hasn’t been terrible but his decision making and turnovers have been very costly in a few of these tight losses. It will be interesting to see if Miles can get this offensive line upgraded before next season. Bill Snyder was a genius at getting walk-on lineman to the NFL. We need to get a similar thing going here to be successful.
