KU Football player D.J. Williams dismissed from the program

  • 6-5, 302 pound redshirt sophomore was dismissed from the football team today for a violation of team rules, which weren’t disclosed. He started Saturday in place of the injured Daniel Wise and played in 8 games a year ago. This is a big blow with how good the D line has played thus far, he had a lot of upside and I was excited about how much depth he brings to the position. But he must have done something fairly serious he also was held out of the season opener for undisclosed reasons. I’d say he got a second chance and blew it. Its disappointing but I stand by Beaty, we don’t want to turn in to Penn State or Baylor, teaching these young how to act on and off the field is important, character must be obtained and is more important than winning games.
