The end of NCAA?

This got brought up and buried elsewhere. I think the significance of this could be far reaching.
Money is the current driver of sports, so messing with their plans might be a deal breaker. I can see the money making sports of basketball and football breaking away from the ncaa and having their own rules on NIL - probably a salary cap for each sport completely separate from the non-revenue generating sports.
This could still be a huge boon to the other sports (WBB, VB, BB, Tennis) as well since that would free up those moneys to go straight to them as the U saw fit.

Sadly it all makes sense. Or could it be full circle, and the NCAA pulled a brilliant back door scheme, found a way to get a gazillion more dollars in play, and will now thrive!?
