@Texas-Hawk-10 The creativity of this offense is really fun to watch.
The offense has a good chance to be a top 10 offense this year with all the pieces that returned this year.
-
Booker looks legit
-
This post is deleted!
-
This D-Line has been very impressive tonight. Looks like the defense they have a chance to be much improved.
-
And of course they give up that play right after I post it.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 fluke play
-
Bullshit!!
-
cant hit a player making a play. Appeal that bs
-
At least Nevada is a crappy team and Booker missing the 1st half shouldn’t be a big issue.
-
He drove his helmet right into him @Texas-Hawk-10. I know we see things with Jayhawks slant, but I really don’t know how it can be argued we got screwed on that play. Sounds like I’m against you tonight! Black uni’s no! Targeting, good call!
-
Got to get another TD to feel comfortable in this one.
-
Just put flags on QBs 3 years out that a celebration after the hit.
-
@wissox Looked like he turned his head to me too
-
I also don’t understand the purpose of going for two here. It’s still a 3 possession game.

That targeting was a bad call. Booker executed a perfect form tackle. Booker had his head turned and hit with his shoulder and side of his head. That hit is literally how we teach kids to tackle in middle school.
-
A absolute weak block in the in back on a TD and garbage targeting it’s 38-13
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 Where was his head turned? Which side because I wasn’t shown a replay that showed he turned it. I just saw him drive his helmet right into his midsection.
-
@wissox you can watch the replay when it’s overturned next week
-
I just watched it slowed down. I don’t get what you’re all saying.
-
let the make up calls commence

Left side of Booker’s helmet is what made contact woth Altmeyer’s ribs, not the crown.
-
another terrible call
-
hit the locker rooms, refs
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 You didn’t answer me. How could you see that? I just went back slowed it down frame by frame and don’t see how you can say that.
-
@wissox I saw a guy make a textbook tackle too. You think he was trying to hurt the QB or tackle him?
-

You can’t see the left Jayhawk logo when Booker hit because that’s what hit the QB. If he led with the crown, you’d be able to see both logos from the backside view. That was a clean hit.
-
@DanR I don’t think he was trying to hurt him. Obviously don’t agree with what ya’ll saying, but it’s ok, we’re kicking tail here and the call doesn’t matter.

I’m also going to trust the judgment of Andre Ware because he was a QB and I hear him weekly calling Texans games on the radio and is a very pro QB announcer since he was a Heisman winning QB.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 If the logo hit which is on the side of the helmet you’d be able to see the logo on the other side, right?
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 They’ll review the 1/2 game disqualification, and I’ll be shocked if he isn’t cleared to play
-

The call does matter because KU lost their best pass rusher when Illinois is going to be doing a lot of passing the rest of the game.
-
Better wake back up here, went from a romping to now a game especially if they score here

I’m offended you’d trust Andre Ware’s opinion over mine!
-
Pick that flag up!
-
jeezus
-
f it, I’m about done with football
-
adios, amigos
-
So what is a defense player supposed to do when the offensive player ducks? This ain’t football

The receiver didn’t duck or lower his head, this was a legit call unlike the Booker call.
-
Here we go again. I mean I don’t like this call much, but why not just wrap your arms around the dude and tackle him? This habit of trying to knock a guy to kingdom come is dangerous and stupid.
-
He didn’t make the end zone on that 2 point did he?
-
Wow! Not an asswhooping! Unjinx!
-
@wissox said in Pregaming Illinois:

Fell on the goal line. Only the tip of the ball only has to reach to very front of the goal to break the plane.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 he definitely ducks his head to me. Accountability has to start for the stripes at some point.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 Here’s what bugs me about what you said. You said Andre Ware agreed with you, therefore I’m wrong because I’m obviously not as knowledgable as Andrew Ware. THE REFEREES WATCHED IT TOO AND SAID IT WAS TARGETING. I could say the same thing to you. You know more than the referees? I doubt it.

You see how much I’m defending the Booker play so I’m not blindly siding with the refs, but that Bryant call was a good call amd the right call. His head dropped because he sunk his hips to try a juke.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 it was targeting because he dropped his head which you just admitted so are we arguing about lol
-
that’s not a 1st down?
-
@kjayhawks said in Pregaming Illinois:

His entire body dropped, not just the head. Lowering your head in this context of targeting means that a player only lowers his head, not his entire body.
