This is such a great story. Guys like Casey bust their asses just as much as the starters, but get little recognition or fanfare. The fact that he was pressed into action due to injuries during the game is not an easy assignment. To be in your bathrobe and slippers when opportunity knocks and still answer the door is a testament to Casey’s hard work and mental preparation. He deserves everything coming his way for being ready when called upon. Not only will this play be remembered forever, but it just might be the flashpoint for this football team’s metamorphosis from doormat to decent.

Baby steps! Not ready to crown them world beaters just yet. But, from what I’ve read, recruits did indeed take notice of the outcome of this game. From a fan standpoint, it was just an all-around entertaining game. Bigger picture, the win may end up being bigger than we imagined. I tend to be skeptical by nature, but good things are happening and we should embrace it. Change is coming!
