@drgnslayr I agree there is a bit of risk with switching defenses. The hope though is gaining an advantage, something we gained against K-St. Playing zone protected guys in foul trouble, psychologically forced K-St into perimeter shots (which they missed plenty) and KU was able to rebound well enough to stay in the zone. There are not a lot of offenses in the nation that can react seamlessly to a team that plays predominant M2M switching to a zone. Unless that team has the hot hand or has practiced zone offense a ton I think this is a wrinkle Self should continue to use when needed

@mayjay Almost swallowed my Jolly Rancher when reading your post! Hilarious!

Self told the team before the game to shoot at least 35 3s. Said he was going to tell them 40, but didn’t want to get in their heads. I think the comfidenc from coach that no 3 is a bad 3 has really taken the lid off the bucket. Guys catch it and go up with no hesitation and I love it.
