@JayHawkFanToo No shoes aren’t even a little the reason for the contracts. KU fans buy A TON of gear. Enough to cover even the crazy $191M contract. I worked in this exact field, first hand, as a manager, and know some numbers to back this up. The paying players behind closed doors is more of a compound effect of this. Just goes to show how anything can happen in D1 basketball. No one really blamed Coleby for leaving, when he left. I’m sure he is wondering what would have happened if he had stayed… er… maybe not.
