@jaybate-1-0 How about Western Kentucky’s fantastic recruiting run? Snags Coleby away from KU, nabs Mitchel Robinson, now Bassey. 🤔
Anomalies logically beg for explanations of why they occur by those bearing costs asymmetrically.
I haven’t studied WK, but it appears to need research to find an explanation.
The need for explanations, combined with the capacity for explanations to make many persons reject the legitimacy of anomalous phenomena, is why TPTB spend so much to control the explanations by controlling courts and media.
TPTB want to be perceived as legitimate, so most will willingly comply with the biased outcomes TPTB enable that serve their agenda and interests.
It is much easier if we go along willingly (that is called “power”), than if they have to make us comply with “force.”
it’s fine - I DID wonder what was going on though lol. – I tried to come in and it said the site was not secure - and somebody might be trying to steal something from me - -I thought Whaaaaaaaaaaaa? - - lol
Some time you have to strike while the iron is hot and it does not get any hotter for Villanova players than it is right now. Day Tripper could have gone to the draft after his freshman year when he was hot after the Tournament and he would have been a sure mid 1st round pick but he stayed and 3 years later he is a late first round pick at best and could slip to the second round.
@BShark Maxwell had little choice if he wanted to play, correct? He was stuck. He couldnt go to an NCAA D-1 school this last fall.
And on Whitman, nothing changed from the time he signed over the next 2 1/2 months. It seems the roster was exactly the same. We had Doke, Preston, and Lightfoot. Am I overlooking something there? To determine “why”, the changes in events/circumstances are where to start.
On Preston, I understand info may not be offered. What I see with so-called reporters is zero investigation. As a taxpayer, a KU donor, a KU grad, and a guy who had paid for two kids at KU, I’m interested in what we spent the money on. Are you interested? I know one of my KU buddies doesn’t care at all as long as we get no negative repercussions.
The silence is frusterating.
When there is a suspension I understand when Self says it has been handled inside the team. We don’t know what happened but the player is sitting one game or so on.
When we see a player not playing to potential or lack of hustle l understand it is kept under the carpet if he is sick or slightly injured to avoid signaling the competition.
When an incident such as Preston has ended, fans deserve the most complete explanation they can be given. When they are given nothing, that’s a slap in the face.
I just had a daydream we won our 14th consecutive National Championship… the game was called by Bilas and Fran. They both took personal credit for predicting this amazing streak… then suddenly Self came up from behind and called them out.
For those wondering KJ Lawson is a redshirt Soph next season. Received a medical waiver for a heel injury suffered in his freshman year.
“A heel injury limited K.J. Lawson to 10 games in the 2015-16 season, forced to watch his brother Dedric win the American Athletic Conference’s rookie of the year award from the sidelines. K.J. was, however, granted a medical redshirt and an extra season of eligibility, and last season, he captured his own AAC rookie of the year honor.”
@jaybate-1.0 Lots to consider for sure. Recurring themes regarding mil-industrial complex stretching back to WW2, heck, even to WW1. Sophie+ArchDuke Ferdinand getting assassinated was only used as a catalyst to start the Great War, the war to end all wars…oops, but history repeats, but greed is an innate human quality.
This is simply why there cannot be a utopia, but people can waste their lives dreaming, but then your 70-80-90 yrs are up…
The rules calls for a T when a player hangs from the rim after a dunk. Players are not allowed to pull themselves up on the rim, nor are they allowed to hang on the rim after a dunk attempt, unless they are doing so to avoid injury to themselves or another player.
Looks like you will find that many of us share your thoughts on rap music. I have a number of friends that are into music and in the music business and just about all of them consider rap a form of expression but not necessarily music; frankly, I don’t know what to call it.
What I find troubling is hearing kids repeating rap lyrics blindly and not really paying attention to what they say. I have asked many kids in the past if they really have given a thought to the lyrics and once they do they are shocked by what they have been parroting. In many ways a form of subliminal message that desensitizes kids. Definitely well beyond what my generation would consider acceptable. I am not saying that all rap is extreme. I believe Will Smith was a rapper , once upon a time, that was relatively tame by rap mainstream standards and I am sure there are other but seems like the great majority are not.
Just my personal opinion and do not expect others to share my opinion.
