Andy Reid has signed a contract extension thru 2029. Thinking about his time in KC and Philly it kinda mirrors what Roy Williams did at KU/UNC. Williams/Reid both had high levels of regular season success at KU/Philly, but each has won 3 championships at their next stop.
What was the game changer for each? And why did their successors each win championships where they could not?
For Reid it’s Mahomes. I’ll just stop there. How Pederson won is more of a challenge to explain, but that team was good.
For Roy I believe he found an easier time recruiting in UNC. As for his successor - Bill can recruit anywhere.

Great news about Reid.
I had read that Roy did not want to ruffle any feathers and deliberately did not recruit in UNC territory. It used to bother me, but I have moved on.
