Sweet 16 Kansas GOAT tournament.

Some epic battles coming up this round. Frank or Sherron? Nick or Doke? Teammates Pierce and LaFrentz? Jacque Vaughn and JoJo White is intriguing.

I’ve never worked so hard on a post and had so little interest in it.
-
I did it.

Wayne and danny
-
I did it within minutes of the initial posting. Some tough ones this time…
-
Probably the toughest call for me was Collison vs Doke. Had to go with Nick for his extended consistency…he was a double double machine and always showed up. Wish I knew more about the old-timers. The way this is going, I could see Mason defeating Wilt in the final.

I went w/doke
-
I answered a bunch of questions, but i don’t know what the outcome was…

@wissox It’s like when I send someone a heartfelt text and zip - not a damn thing. Is my phone broke? Or do i matter that little?

@nuleafjhawk Thanks for the feedback. Not sure how to let everyone know the results. Maybe I’ll post them later today.
-
@ajvan Do you consider Danny Manning to be an old timer? Just curious.

Someone tell me if you can see the results from this. https://app.surveyplanet.com/results/5e8a82ff471a3d1a2db5af5a

@wissox Danny was a little before my time, but I know enough about him (read enough articles, seen the replay) to know what he was: a phenom.
It’s the guys before him, Born, Lovellette, White, that I wish I had a feel for.

@ajvan Most of the time I would arrive at AFH about 90 minutes before tip. One student section was behind the bench, it was usually filled, but first couple of rows behind the basket on the Kansas bench side was always open and so I’d sit there. We were much closer to the court than what it appears they allow students nowadays. So Danny grabs a rebound, I’m sitting on the right side of the court, and I watch Danny throw a length of the court outlet pass that bounces on the mid court logo and hits someone in stride who doesn’t even need to dribble to lay it in. My angle allowed me to see the narrowest of openings for him to thread that ball through. It was stupendous then and is stupendous now! That’s my favorite Danny moment!
