Well this can't be good , going to be interesting

  • And so it begins , or so it looks like quite possibly. Just came across the News.

Iran has launched a Missle attack in Western Iraq, where US Military are base. - Some talk might be multiple attacks being launched.

12 what they describe ballistic missiles fired at 2 US bases , already talking about how we could very well be headed to war

  • It’s times like these that I wish we had a president with a level disposition and a clear understanding of how to negotiate multilateral treaties.

I just wondering/thinking and I could very easily be wrong. - - Let’s say what if as I’ve heard some accounts that no US casualities, if that is the case , wouldn’t be better to pull the troops out of Iraq like even Iraq wants - most Americans want us to get out of there.

Wouldn’t it be better to pull out, not retaliate - give time for cooler heads to prevail, Then if Iran decides to attack US forces again then it’s strictly US and Iran and keeping other lives for being in danger? - -I dunno

Some are saying this is just Iran way for retaliation for us taking out their or one of their leaders and will not launch again because they fired their missles about the same time we hit nd took him out.

Yet I have also heard that thre are quite a few in Washington that want this , have been wanting to have this confrontation with Iran - -what ya think ?

  • If the reports are true of zero American casualties, chalk it up as a win for America and the world then move on. The world is much safer without Qasem Soleimani.

@approxinfinity you mean like let a rouge nation kill 640 Americans because you don’t want war? Maybe we should send them a pallet of cash?

@DoubleDD how does that go? Don’t beat me I’ll give you my lunch money.

  • @DoubleDD I wish we had a president with a level disposition and a clear understanding of how to negotiate multilateral treaties. That’s exactly what I mean.

I think Soleimani was bad news. Trump vowed to put a stop to endless war on the campaign stump. Now he’s assassinating generals of countries we aren’t at war with. This sets a new precedent, even if Soleimani was a problem. I hope this calms down and doesn’t blow up. Trump saying stuff like “if they retaliate they’ll be hit like they’ve never been hit before” is stupid posturing, and doesn’t help.

  • @jayballer73 I don’t know if we should pull out of Iraq or not.

Yeah, the Republicans have discussed war with Iran for a while

    You mean like USMCA?

Or bad ones like the prior Iran deal from Muslim apologist Obama?

If USMCA is all we have then wheeeeew boy. We’re in deep ish. Big downgrade over NAFTA

  • It’s definitely a situation that I hope can be resolved before it leads to war. I’d lie low for the time being and hope they won’t try to retaliate again as @approxinfinity stated. The republicans want war as they always do for some reason, while Democrats blow hard are bombing people tho Obama was a part of bombing 7 middle eastern countries in his tenure. Classic American political game on who can be the most hypocritical. @DoubleDD I agree with your take giving Iran a plane full of cash and hoping for the best. It’s similar to what Clinton tried to do with North Korea. In history the strategy hasn’t faired well, Ancient Rome fell because it had its hands in too many places, then tried to pay enemies to not attack. Spoiler they attacked and did what they wanted anyway. I question any war this country has been in since World War 2, we all knew the stakes and why we were there. Every war since then has been a waste of lives and money.

  • One bold statement Trump made in his speech today, saying as long as he is President Iran will neve have Nuclear weapons - pretty solid.

Like the news people were saying and what Trump said pretty much an Olive Branch. - Saying he wants to see Iran be a great Nation , but also made clear were not going to tolerate anymore.

Look like before he talked today , Iran pretty much standing down now, They did what they felt needed to be done BUT they said they will remove all American troops out of the region. - their final answer

They talk about Iran and the US sitting down for talks, yet Iran has said until the US removes it’s sanctions they will NOT talk. So now what? - -Let this cool down, but sooner or later these sides have to sit down an get this shit straightened out.

Trump said he was going to talk to Nato today, saying they need to get more involved. - - Russia -China - - Syria - -hell why would they want that? - - they want us out so they can come in themselves a real mess

  • @HighEliteMajor from Muslim apologist Obama?

Tell me more about what you mean by Muslim apologist. I’m honestly curious.
