Senior Night vs OU

The shockers?
Really?
KU nation is scared of the Shockers?
You guys and gals are going to drive me to drink. oops to late.
-
Did we forget the wv game awhile back?
-
What happened last time? WSU plays hard ALL game.
-
What was that like 2 years ago? Um KU plays hard too. If the shockers are so awesome where is the love?
-
@Bwag His Daddy would be
-
@globaljaybird I have found that not getting on here until after the game that the āquitterā posts donāt bother me as much. And the games are far more enjoyable. More people need to adopt @DoubleDD positive attitude.
-
@BShark yep and sadly we donāt play hard the whole game.
-
@BShark exactly. A solid fundamental team that guards, hits FTS, and plays with 100% effort all the time. Doesnāt matter who is on the jersey. That is exactly the kind of team that has been the Achilles heel for us in the tourneyā¦ I.E. Any of our first and second round losses
-
Sadly we keep on winning
-
Another theme is teams that slow down the pace. Iād like to avoid UVA if possible as well. That game would just be brutal to watch.
-
Kind of surprised Self told Graham to stay one more year. Maybe he is gone.
-
What did wv do tonight? Hmm
-
So the same people that predicted that KU would lose tonight are predicting a loss against the Shockers? :fu:
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Sadly we keep on winning
-
Shockers by double digits
-
Winning in a way which encourages bad habits. Still better to win than lose though obviously.

I predicted a win tonight ftr.
-
Go tell Frank what u think!
-
Fair enough. Now Iām going to get in trouble with @approxinfinity
-
Great speech Landen.
-
I have a rule I donāt tweet at players or recruits.
-
@BShark Tweeting is for punks.
-
@brooksmd wouldnāt the world be somewhat to quite bland if everyone was the same? Individuality is beautiful in its own right. Myselfā¦ I like lots of different kinds of music, donāt always want the same position In the rack, enjoy something other than what I ate last night, and appreciate opposing views
-
-
@DoubleDD did someone predict a loss? Or just express displeasure with the way the team played for 30 min?
-
FTR KU rolls the Shockers.
-
You tell me? I thought I was at a funeral. Now Iām hearing KUās demise against the Shockers. You tell me what gives?
-
We actually played good defense OU only shot 35% from the floor. Rebounding was terrible outside of the last 8 minutes, we gave them 20 second chance points but ended up edging them bye 3 total.
-
You keep nit picking KU, yet they keep winning. I donāt understand youāre logic. I just donāt.
-
@brooksmd Iād have to agree Pops too many dick downers can take the fun outta the rally that we all inevitably know is comingā¦ It pisses me off that someone says heās a fan & whines out all that negative with zero faith. To me itās like showing a lack of courage. Iām like@KUSTEVE. I. expect to win every freaking game.
-
This team is like the 14/15 royals. You just feel theyāll come back. Magical.
-
Screw all this talk of an easy bracket. I hope the NCAA powers screw KU, and loads up their bracket. Itās going to be that much sweeter when KU wins it all.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Wiggy in the #9 POTD on SC.
-
I feel like DG is a transitional piece to the next run of players and keep a little bit of the identity from the last couple of years. Iāll be really sad to see him go.
-
@Blown I agree
-
The way Self called out DG to stay Iād say thereās a good chance he goes.
-
@kjayhawks have to agree unfortunately
-
He didnāt call out Svi
-
@Blown Wonder if he wouldnāt want to come back and run the team after having been behind Frank and seeing what that senior year did for Frank = POY and a real shot at getting on a team or leaving and taking a big chance on getting on some DLeague team (like so many others trying to do) making meager wages or having to go overseas. Thatās a lot for a 22 year old to have to weigh.
-
Graham is so good WSUās best player transferred from KU to get minutes.
Hope he comes back for a sr year to showcase that talent!
-
@DoubleDD I would actually prefer that as well. of the 5 teams that have been number one this season weāve played 3 of them and have gone 4-0 against them (Baylor twice). I welcome a hard bracket as we tend to play up to our competition and match their intensity.
-
Team reminds me of 2012 so much except they are rope a dope extreme.
-
@Blown @RockChalkinTexas After how Svi has played here lately I see no chance of him getting drafted. I think this is one of the stronger OAD classes myself. Iāve said all year I bet we donāt lose both DG and Svi, maybe one Iāll stick to it and remember how young Svi still is. Which IMO helps his case to stay. We also have the Arizona state transfer next year that guys havenāt mentioned much on here with Malik.
-
@RockChalkinTexas Makes me wonder why is it not that important to these kids to finish a degree ? Itās just a piece of paper but the damn thing is an absolute necessity to be successful in todayās world
-
@cragarhawk Like I posted after the last game, Iām old and simple and I just enjoy watching them win. If they lose they lose. If you missed it this year, UK, UNC, Puke, Gonzaga, WVU, Baylor and many other top teams lost this year. But the world didnāt end. Some of those teams, KU included, constantly have a bullseye on the back of their jersey. And for some teams beating that bullseye is the NC of their season. Theyāve got nothing to lose and therefore no pressure. And as it usually happens some dude who hasnāt hit a 3 all season suddenly anything he throws at the hoop beyond the arc goes in. Thatās college bb and no predictor of what will happen in future games. Relax and enjoy the game and if weāre lucky weāll win 6 in a row in the big crap shoot.
-
@DoubleDD I respect your right to believe that we beat a good team playing like that for 33 minutes. Is it really that hard to respect mine to believe we wonāt? I didnāt say the shockers. You can simply insert quality teams name here as far as Iām concerned. You really believe when we play like that the team goes to coach in the timeout and itās all rainbows and omg you guys are so wonderful? Thereās not a thing in the this world wrong with critisism if it breeds improvement. Everyone didnāt vote for Hillary or Trump, everyone doesnāt get a trophy, and everyone doesnāt believe we can beat anyone on earth playing that way for 75% plus of the gameā¦ but you know what. It is okay with me if you did or believe any of those things. Youāre an individual. And I like it that way
-
@Crimsonorblue22 You going back home tonite?
-
@brooksmd no
-
@brooksmd I absolutely have no issue with your take. And if you go back and read a previous post of mine. During the WV game in the phog you will see that I was pretty relaxed and wouldnāt have really bothered me to lose. It hasnāt really bothered me for years. I just see no issue with calling a spade a spade. When thereās obvious improvement needed in certain areas Iām certain that Coach Self doesnāt leave that unsaid. I respect the views of anyone who is positive or negative and recognize that it is exactly that which make the world go round. Im not having a terrible time posting nor watching the game cause ppl are positive. Itās good to have difference. I like the negative stuff too. It makes you think. And I believe in the world thereās a place for realism too. IMO thatās my view. Doesnāt have to be yours too. In fact. I kinda prefer that it isnātā¦ I like you just as you are
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Playinā hooky huh?
-
@cragarhawk It seems your perspective is overly black and whiteā¦ What we do today predicates exactly what we do tomorrow, and so on. That seems pretty dismissive of hundreds of other elements that a more optimistic fan is willing to acknowledge exist.
It seems a pessimist can be characterized as holding an irrational belief in the predictive capacity of a data set that is too limited, while an optimist might be said to hold an irrational belief in his teamās abilities, knowing full well that he has not attempted to accommodate all available data into his perspective.
Both are faith based beliefs that are in direct conflict. So you see, itās a holy war.
