  @jaybate-1.0 This is fun! The NBA has started to hire current players to become first year coaches in Jason Kidd and Derrick Fischer. So what current NFL players could we hire? Ray Rice? Adrian Peterson?

  I’m not going to speculate about CW’s future (mostly because as long as he’s not at Kansas, I just don’t care!), but I’m starting to have a little man-crush on Clint Bowen. At first I was like, this season is toast, just make it through until December and let’s see who’s out there that can turn this thing around. After the Okie State game, I’m starting to think the guy we’re looking for is already on the sidelines. Keep up the good work Clint. Not many people have the chance to pursue their dream jobs.

  I like what I’ve seen and heard so far in this interim coach. I stated we needed to be working hard in the background and keep our cards close to the chess. Still, it seems we have made some good progress. If this continues I think we can win a couple of more games this season and I’m all for keeping him as HC.

  @bskeet I really didn’t recall either coach winning even that many games! Besides, asterisks need to go by those wins, because they were really nothing more than exhibition-grade opponents. Legitimate D1 cupcakes always beat Weis and Gill. I will always view Turner Fish Gill and Charles Never-in-Charge Weis as winless. I will remember them as standing on the sidelines with black sunglasses, tin cups and canes begging for wins. Coach Weis was especially pathetic, because he was old enough to have known better and apparently so willingly debased himself for the bones. The two bookends of losing won a few exhibition games; that was all. Next.

  @approxinfinity & @JayHawkFanToo - I listened to the JB version this morning and liked it very much! Thanks! It’s funny, to me, that a song like that can be sung by many people/groups and sound wonderful, but there are others that I don’t want to hear anything but the original. I watch a lot of singing shows (sorry…) The Voice, American Idol, X-Factor - the judges are always encouraging the contestants to make the songs “their own”. That’s OK with some songs, but almost blasphemy with others. If it’s one of the “iconic” groups - The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd - those kinds of groups - LEAVE THE SONG ALONE!!! Don’t mess with perfection. lol I’m sure there are others, but right now the only “icon” song that I can think of that I really like done by someone else is Joe Cocker’s version of “With a Little Help From My Friends”. Oh, and " She came in through the bathroom window". And…
