@dylans that 2013 roster imo was much better https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/kansas/men/2014.html

@kjayhawks alright, thats fair. I think our assessment of his defense was higher going into the season than at season’s end. Hopefully he won’t be asked to guard behemoths, and hopefully we won’t have to switch everything next year?

RE: Transfer Rumblings
Alright. I think he will look more athletic next year, playing less minutes, and hopefully more intense defense, with teammates who can finish.
But i take your points. He is not an explosive finisher or a high flyer and he isn’t particularly fast on the break.
His hands are fast.

RE: You know it's a big day
@dylans embiid and wiggins carried the team to a second round exit against Stanford? I mean just Wiggins, because Embiid didnt play in the tournament, right?
Is that carrying the team?
Did Furphy not win games for us?
I fail to see a real difference tbh.

RE: Keeping track of the ever changing 24-25 roster
@kjayhawks said in Keeping track of the ever changing 24-25 roster:
a guy that can’t guard, shoot or rebound doesn’t need to be out there for 30 plus minutes a game.
He cant shoot the 3 or rebound.
He can guard 1-5 and shoots inside the arc very well.
Just keeping it real.

RE: You know it's a big day
@dylans the team sucked and furphy was a bright spot. Your criticism could be said about wiggins and embiid as well, had they not gone on to nba success. Maybe his success contributed in part to the guys we pulled this offseason, as he is proof that a player can come in and in one season improve their stock dramatically.
I’m glad we had Furphy and he made the season much more watchable for me.

RE: Transfer Rumblings
@rcjhdraft @kuballin10 ”athletic” has always seemed to me a deceptively subjective assessment. Juan has long arms and uses them to maximize defensive disruption and in achieving great passing angles and handling the rock well. Isnt that a form of athleticism? Also, isnt the brain an organ, ie part of the body? How does one separate the brain from what their body achieves with it?
My biggest problem with Juan is the lapses that hopefully were a product of fatigue. I dont think we will be complaining nearly as much next year about sloppy possessions on either end from him if his minutes are under 30.

Id like Hunters minutes to go down as well. We need him fresh for the post season.
