I HATE the switch everything defense. Causes us to rebound poorly and double team too much in the post.

Offensively I’m not sure we shoot it well enough to get much better. Offense for this group has to come from defense in a sense.

I still think they will get better as a team. But we are certainly not a good team right now. Incredibly lucky to not be 0-3 in conference play.

I can honestly say I hope he not is back next season. I don’t think he had the right mindset to coach in this era of college sports. Yes I’m well aware we won a title technically in the NIL era but it was with guys that were upper class men he developed here, not a team that returns 2 guys that have seen the floor every season.

Also just look at Indiana, UK and UCLA. Only way you move on is if you have a top guy lined up like Otz. And even then no guarantees.

My only complaint with this game is the secondary ticket market is absolutely ruining events like this. This game should be packed and it was maybe 3/4 full.

We are seeing what kind of team this is, everything that was built has unraveled and happened quickly. If the only time they can play well is at home their fate will find a swift exit next week and the following one.

Officiating hit a new low last night but having 1 coach ejected and another T'd up before halftime is unacceptable and controllable behavior.

There seems to be stuff going on behind the scenes that we are not seeing that are playing out on the floor. Not connected, guys are playing me ball and you're not seeing the energy on either side of the ball. This is truly shocking to see after so much growth and development from this bunch.

They lack energy is really the nail on the head. Really need Council to set the tone. Pick up right at half court. Push the ball on rebounds and stress the defense.

The other thing is easy and that is DP needs to quit trying to draw fouls and start playing to and through contact. Refs let ‘em play late in the year. Always goes like that. He needs to adjust

One of those games where the whole team just had a bad game.

Council can’t keep chucking shots at the rim. 7 points on 13 shots is not going to be okay routinely. Got away with it versus Arizona.

Elmarko was awful.

McDowell was bad.

Tiller was a non factor.

White was meh.

DP should touch the ball almost every possession, but we chuck up bad shots before he touches it a lot.

Hopefully a wake up call. Need a big win Monday to stay in the double bye for the conference tourney. And going to need to finish strong to stay on the 3 or better line.

DP needs these end of game reps against pressure. Need them for closing out games in the tourney.

Don’t get why he’s not in the game.

We just really need this team to start practicing together and gelling here at the end. DP is not integrated with the rest of the team and it has shown last several games he has played.

Hoping whatever bullshit we’ve had dealing with him is done. It’s the home stretch and we can actually peak at the right time if he starts practicing and playing like he should be.
