Have you ever sent a thank you card to the teacher that gave Frank a failing grade in his senior year in high school? BILL SELF: No, I have not. You know, I know you were trying to be funny Bob, but the reality of it is, Frank didn’t qualify in high school, and he went to prep school to become academically qualified, and in four years here, in three and a half years he basically already has his degree. It’s always been inside of him.

We’re a big 4a, were a 5a school. We’ve had some really good high school coaches. They started out teaching and coaching then ended up as administrators and coaches. We’ve had a lot of ast coaches for rule 10 and a heck of a lot of them for jr hi. Jr hi consisted of any Tom, Dick and Harriet they could convince to coach. Being a really good college player doesn’t equal a great hi school coach. Sherron and Ty will have a great chance to become good coaches. Self will be around to mentor them. Does sherron have the the discipline to get everything organized? Also character is huge! I’m sure they know that. Big difference.

@approxinfinity my gkids and I talked to tyshawn while we were there. He was super nice to us. I asked him if his job was finalized yet, gotta wait on the board. Gson had his ball but no pen, he had a few autographs on it from the Washburn camp. Added to a good day. Oh, my son, gson and I went to Maverick last night, excellent! Really, really good! Had a few tears, but, I was NOT crying!
