For some rare arrangements, last year game at TCU was televised live on a Local Shanghai Network. I was so excited and woke up real early to watch it. Then, the unthinkable unfolded in front of my very eyes. For my beloved hawks, I endured the entire game with disbelief. Thank goodness, I am not going to have the chance to watch this game again this year. RCJH!

RE: Keep the Doubters Coming!
@DinarHawk when I looked at the bracket, first thought is the committee really wants to see embiid’s return in the second weekend. Eku and possible unm are not as tough as those trending up teams. Some were thinking the Syracuse is tough, I beg to differ, it is a team that is trending down as it peaked way to early. I also think the committe wants to see more of wiggins. By that, I am not saying the path to second weekend is soft, but, it is one that I would not complain. My worry is, will embiid be able to play with a new wiggins who has shifted to another gear. I think HCBS will figure it out. I agreed with jay bate that a win against isu would be nice but a lost maybe better. The rest is needed as I think more than one embiid is not a hundred percent. I think we also need that game to remind tharpe again that he needs to show up. One motivation factor is tar would play hard to get back to Memphis and prove to his doubters at home they were wrong about his transfer. So, I see us in Memphis the second weekend with or without embiid. Rcjh

@wissoxfan83 I was a junior then. And, I was responsible for some of the mess on the trees.

RE: KU-SDSU: Three Reasons We Lost
It is hard to remember mistakes in a win than in a loss. I think the real deal starts at OU. IMHO, I think HCBS used 2 games to sort out the PG issue and he got what he wanted with a committed PG and it is clear from then onward who is the leader on the floor for better or for worse.
As D concepts take times to settled, many games were used to coach the talents to buy in the concepts; winning is then secondary to learning. Hopefully, HCBS has by now equipped the guys with the necessary tools to retain the Big 12 title and make a deep run in March. RCJH!

RE: Key to becoming a sportswriting genius...
@drgnslayr Interestingly, can someone shed light on the latest about AW III?

RE: Kansas targets 7'6" PG recruit OK Oakville!
@drgnslayr second that. I for one believe that those who can should benefit those who need regardless of platforms. Hope to see you here OAK.

RE: What's Your Biggest NCAA Worry/Concern/Fear?
@nuleafjhawk My biggest fear is we do not find a way to win at Okie St. This game could be the launch pad for our quest of the NC. Against a hungry team (on the bubble) that needs a win to get in is like a lower ranked team that need a win to advance in the tournament. If we win this one, I think, our freshmen would graduate from the experience department. This one is huge and have the tell tales of how we are going to do in the tournament. RCJH

RE: Skilled, Willful, Arrogant and...
Smart made Ellis looks like a judo champion in that act. I wish that was real. If Ellis is that strong, we will sure get the NC as we will have a trio of Bruise Brothers!

RE: Biggest change needed?
@icthawkfan316 How about finding those great assistant coaches we used to have. Imagine we have Joe and Danny with us this year. Hmmmm…just leave me wondering. A great general is made great by his brave soldiers.

RE: Biggest change needed?
@icthawkfan316 thanks. Maybe I should rephrase what I said. I like HCBS. I am wondering how much input he got from his coaching team in a game situation. It looks to me his game strategies looked predictable and surprise tactics such as junk defense in the past was no way to be found, I.e. Something that are not predictable. For me, it suggests a mono decision maker when the game plans started to look predictable.
