  @JhawkAlum That was my exact thing. But that could just be the crimson and blue colored glasses. I would prefer to play 15 mins per game at a perennial power and THE greatest place to play college basketball over playing 25 mins at a smaller lesser known school. The name recognition alone playing for KU would have done wonders after graduation.

  @Blown If we look at their line up, i think they play mainly 6 guys and the 7th is not really rotation minutes. Therefore, I like our Options we can have at 1/2, 3, and 4/5. We have 2 viable options for 1/2 (Mason/Seldon and Mason/Graham), we have a solid 3 in KO and BG and Svi as good back ups, we have Traylor/Ellis, Traylor/Cliff and Cliff/Ellis at the 4/5. We can throw many things at them but they can’t. RCJH!

And it has opened up the drive for BamBam! Suddenly, he has found his scoring, and his motion post moves (post slasher) will not only continue to be effective, how the heck is an opponent supposed to scout and prep for that? Perry has the same skill, but teams aren’t respecting BamBam to hit the long ball, so they don’t have to go get him. Self has figured that out by using BamBam more on high screens. Smart! So working BamBam on high screens should help open scoring opportunities for Perry to become a post slasher because the post defender guarding BamBam has to go out and make the switch on the high ball screen. Perry should start utilizing more motion in the post and face the goal. He’s not good at back to the basket.

  @Crimsonorblue22 Sorry about that, but this situation seemed unusual. If Tarik Black faced “distractions” that I did not know about when I wrote the post, then I wanted to alter anything that I wrote that might stir up those distractions, however large, or small they may have been. I did not want to contribute to stirring them up again. So: I deleted my post and rewrote it as it now is. I thought it was better to do that and let some other posts seem disconnected and out of context, rather than risk stirring up “distractions.” I figured others could delete, or alter theirs if they wished.

  @BeddieKU23 I don’t know generations can be fickle. Sometimes they do things the opposite or different just to be different than the generation before them. That’s why we see a big advertisement push to brain wash, opps I mean to encourage kids to want their product. There is a belief in the advertisement and business world of customer loyalty. However it’s really a ghost. A few generations back this theory would be correct flash forward a few generations, and it’s all about the next greatest and coolest subject matter. Even the aging great Americans aren’t as loyal to the products they once bought. They too are looking over the fence. No doubt Nike is King today, as they should be. They earned it, but things change. They really do. It wasn’t to long ago if someone said Under Armor, you would have thought is that some kind of protection that a person where’s under their uniform.

  True… As a life long sufferer of my back “locking up”, it can be a real setback, but with rest and PT it goes away most usually in a week or less. Im of course assuming that that is what is happening to Cliff (usually back spasms or muscle cramps and pulls are referred to as “locking up”) Far better though than a stress fracture like what happened to Embiid

  Dang, he is even skinnier than his dad was…and this is saying a lot. I was always afraid that Manute’s bones would snap when he played in the NBA, but he was surprisingly durable. He should be joining the varsity any time now, and I will try to catch a game or two. My daughter graduated from Miege and my grandson is also considering it since he starts HS in August.
