  @dylans yeah i expect something along those lines is already where we are shifting. Which is why I am incredibly excited about our ability to get top shelf talent going forward. I think Bill Selfs finishing school will be in high demand for NBA teams.

  I imagine Self would “vigorously” coach someone who obtained a court injunction forcing the team to take him back. I’m a coach (not basketball and not at this level) and my inner sadist gets excited just thinking about the possibilities.

  @AsadZ I would think at this point he is reevaluating quite a bit. I definitely get ticked at Self from time to time, as you said and he has openly stated mistakes himself. I get frustrated when people on here act like he’s perfect which no one is in any light. Bright side don’t believe any KU fans are sending death threats like the bluegrass goons. I really think changes to the staff especially conditioning practices are at the top of the list. I heard a couple of months ago Manning was coming back but the talk of it has quieted down. I think Vaughn and Manning need to come back with Vaughn being the coach in waiting probably won’t ever happen.

  @drgnslayr I doubt he’s in college next year. There was some talk about him reclassifying but then they came out and said it would be a redshirt year 1 since he’s too young to enter the 2025 draft. Theoretically that could change if they decide to at semester or something but this is trending toward a normal recruitment.

I haven’t bought this BS excuse from coach since he started rolling it out about 5 years ago. It’s been obvious conditioning is trash with various players. Imagine coaching a guy like Hunter, out of shape from the day he was born, thinking that letting him rest more would improve his conditioning. If you think players don’t need rest to recover, then you clearly have little idea about how the human body works.

  @kjayhawks Looking back, Uconn didn’t play their A game but it was still good enough to beat KU even in Allen. We just seemed to match them that day with the home crowd being a big factor. We were also healthy at the time and they weren’t. Perhaps that was the difference right there in itself

  Here is an idea. We get Thiero in here. Hope he can improve his trey shooting to give another weapon, but even without a high trey %, Thiero is an absolute beast and he plays physical and drives the ball. We need physical guys who drive! Suddenly, with KJ and Bidunga we have EASILY the stoutest team in America! Remember Thiero this past season? He ate us up.
